We’re pleased to introduce David, as our new UK Managing Director.
David comes to us from the DHL Supply chain, where he held senior roles in both the Drinks and Automotive sectors. In his most recent role in DHL, he partnered closely with DigiHaul and its network of hauliers, setting the groundwork for a more collaborative approach to managing sub-contractions, a mission he now leads in full at DigiHaul.
With nearly 40 years in the logistics sector, David brings a wealth of experience from both sides of the industry. Having worked with major clients like Walkers, BAA, World Duty-Free, Hovis, and Premier Foods, and prominent logistics providers DHL and Kuhne & Nagel, he understands complex client needs and how to translate them into operational success. His arrival at DigiHaul comes with a promise to build on our strengths, foster a progressive culture, and lead us into the next stage of our development.
David’s move to DigiHaul represents the culmination of a distinguished career, and he’s looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with a young, dynamic team. “The energy and creativity of the team is invigorating,” David says.
“I am looking forward to building on this at the same time as focussing on the “nuts and bolts” required to ensure we deliver on our commitments to both customers and our partners.”
David’s Vision for DigiHaul
David has already begun to shape his vision for DigiHaul’s future, with a particular focus on enhancing efficiency, clarity, and engagement. He is also focused on leveraging the relationship with DHL.
As a leader who values feedback from the ground up, David is diving into the results of our recent Employee Survey to identify areas for improvement. He believes that insight from the team itself is essential to progress: “In my experience, the best solutions come from those who work with the details daily. I’m here to listen and implement ideas that will help us all excel together.”
A Personal Touch
David’s connection to the community is a refreshing addition to DigiHaul’s leadership. Having lived in St Albans with his wife, Jill, for over 30 years, he’s delighted to work close to home and enjoy a short commute. “It’s a beautiful environment, and not everyone gets the chance to work on the grounds of a stately home!” he shares with enthusiasm.
As David settles into his role, we’re confident his extensive experience, open approach, and dedication to operational excellence will bring about positive and lasting changes. We’re looking forward to the journey ahead with David in the driving seat, building on our strengths and making DigiHaul an even more resilient, agile, and rewarding place to work.
